Coach Kirk Kennedy said Kankakee Valley has no excuses when it comes to facilities.
“We’ve got a tremendous weight room and a great stadium,” Kennedy said. “The people at KV have made a commitment to sports and football. We just have to do our part.”
Kennedy said the goal is to create excitement for the community. “If we play an exciting brand of ball, we’ll give local fans something to come to Fred Jones Field for every Friday night,” he said.
For players, the focus remains on work. “My motivation is my teammates,” Duttlinger said. “I don’t want to disappoint them. That’s what drives me.”
Anderson said the team embraces the brotherhood. “We’ve been together since we were kids,” he said. “That chemistry keeps us pushing forward.”
