The Kankakee Valley boys varsity soccer team continued its undefeated start to the season with a confident 4–0 victory over the Kouts Mustangs on Saturday. The shutout represented KV’s third straight win, highlighting both offensive firepower and defensive steadiness.
From the outset, the Kougars dictated possession and tempo. Their first goal came just before the 16-minute mark when sophomore Creed Veach delivered a precise feed to senior Landon Palfi, who finished cleanly from the top of the box. Seconds later, freshman Bryce Moore’s individual effort created space for Jorge Peña, whose deceptive shot boosted the lead to 2–0.
In the second half, KV maintained pressure. William Nava Contreras lifted a high-arching strike into the top corner for a third goal, while Peña set up Moore for the final tally just under three minutes before full time. Goalkeeper Damien Vargas added three saves, earning the clean sheet behind a solid defensive performance.
