The Kankakee Valley varsity girls’ soccer team secured a 4-0 victory against Griffith in a home non-conference match.
The game occurred on October 2, 2025, at Kankakee Valley High School in Wheatfield, Indiana.
The Lady Kougars delivered a commanding performance from start to finish, scoring two goals in each half while preventing Griffith from scoring. Sophomore forward J. Skowronski led with two goals, while junior C. Przybylski and sophomore A. Guisinger each contributed one goal. Senior leaders Ava Barlog and Maci Capps provided crucial assists, helping Kankakee Valley maintain an attacking rhythm and control possession throughout the match.
In goal, senior goalkeeper Olivia Stephens achieved a clean sheet by stopping 10 shots over 80 minutes. The defense remained composed under pressure, limiting Griffith to just five total attempts on goal. Overall, Kankakee Valley outshot the Panthers 23-5, demonstrating depth and precision across all phases of play.
Griffith put up a strong fight and received notable contributions from sophomore goalkeeper Leia Stewart, who made 11 saves in the second half to keep her team within reach.
