The Kankakee Valley Kougars fell to the Merrillville Pirates 3-1 in a varsity boys volleyball non-conference match on April 1, according to MaxPreps.
The matchup took place at Kankakee Valley High School.
The Kougars responded after dropping the opening set 25-22 with a 25-20 win in the second set. Kankakee Valley kept the third set close before falling 25-23, and Merrillville closed the match with a 25-18 fourth-set win.
Kankakee Valley was scheduled to host Munster in a conference match on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m., according to MaxPreps.
The previous meeting between Kankakee Valley and Merrillville during the 2025-26 season was the April 1 match, according to MaxPreps.
