After graduating a 2,000-yard rusher, Kankakee Valley is reshaping its offense in 2025.
Head coach Kirk Kennedy said the Kougars will lean on a more traditional attack. “We’re going back to the I-formation,” Kennedy said. “It’s tailback-oriented, and Jaidyn may carry it 40 or 50 times a night. We’re going to line up, establish the run and be tough.”
Kennedy said execution will be the priority. “Our bread and butter is running the ball,” he said. “We’ll mix in some play action, screens and draws, but it’s about toughness and blocking well.”
The system puts responsibility on both the offensive line and the backfield. “It’s my job to create lanes,” Duttlinger said. “That’s my duty, and I’m not letting my teammates down.”
Anderson said the line is everything. “If I have success, it’s because of them,” he said. “They’re the ones who make it happen.”
