Head coach Kim Wilson returns to lead the Kankakee Valley High School girls cross country team into the 2025 season, focused on strategic growth and improved team depth.
Wilson’s squad brings back key distance runners who anchor the team’s pacing and composure. Over the summer, training emphasized aerobic strength, mental toughness, and tactical awareness—through interval sessions, tempo work, and simulated race scenarios meant to reinforce consistency and resilience.
Early-season invitationals will offer valuable opportunities to test lineups and identify final varsity positions based on performance against competing schools. As the season progresses into conference meets, the coaching staff will aim to leverage both experienced runners and emerging athletes to maintain team momentum.
With disciplined preparation, rising talent, and Wilson’s steady guidance, the girls squad is positioned to elevate its performance in 2025, aiming for stronger results in league standings and a deeper run into sectional competition.
