With a perfect 3–0 start, Kankakee Valley’s varsity boys soccer team is showing early-season cohesion and depth that bode well for continued success. The squad’s balanced scoring and strong rotations are setting the tone this fall.
Notably, scoring has come from multiple contributors. Veterans like Landon Palfi and emerging talents such as freshman Bryce Moore and sophomore Jorge Peña are making their presence felt in the attack. Their diverse skill sets keep opponents guessing and offer flexibility in strategic setups.
Defensively, the back line and goalkeeper Damien Vargas have proven reliable. Vargas’s clean sheet performance against Kouts, paired with timely interventions from defenders, has reinforced a compact and organized defensive unit.
Beyond the pitch, team chemistry is rising through shared leadership and engagement in practice. Upperclassmen and younger players are working through rotations with intent and purpose, building a culture of trust and consistency.
As the season unfolds, KV’s emphasis on collective growth and adaptability may distinguish them in conference matchups ahead.
