The Kankakee Valley Invitational was a banner day for the Kougars’ girls tennis program, with championships claimed at every level of play.
The Invitational was held at Kankakee Valley High School, where the Kougars protected their home courts with poise and precision.
At #2 Doubles, the trio of Maci Capps, Sophia LeGrand, and MaKayla Nuss powered through Andrean with a commanding 6–1, 6–1 victory, their teamwork and consistency sealing the title. In singles, Maggie Norwine captured the #3 crown with a 6–1, 6–1 win over Andrean, showcasing her ability to dictate rallies and finish points with confidence.
At #2 Singles, Izzy Jones delivered a flawless performance, sweeping Kouts 6–0, 6–0 to claim her championship without dropping a game. The Kougars’ top doubles duo of Rheyna Smith and Emmie Przybylski capped the sweep with a decisive 6–0, 6–1 victory over Andrean at #1 Doubles, blending aggressive net play with steady baseline pressure.
